TP-Link Powerline Ethernet Adapter TL-PA211 Repair

If your adapter will not light the power –LED at least, don’t worry it is  repairable!

IMG_4749_screw IMG_4710 IMG_4711 Open up by unscrewing form the backside and releasing all hooks around the case! Obviously one capacitor is damaged. To take the board out solve the two power line connections at the top.

IMG_4737 IMG_4742 IMG_4744 Unsolder the suspect capacitor and have a check. This one has a permanent current flow. I replaced it by two 6.3V 1000µF types in parallel. Last check before reassembling and happy flickering!
